Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the RV Cabinet Catch and Strikes. This is going to replace the catch in your RV cabinet so that you can keep that cabinet door securely closed. You don't have to worry about it opening and slamming shut when you're hitting bumps in the road and potentially allowing the contents of that cabinet to fall out. This is going to make sure that that door stays closed no matter what terrain you're going over so that you don't have to worry about any of that.This is going to work on all styles of cabinets. So you don't have to worry about the connections working.

Main thing is probably going to be the aesthetic value, so you want to make sure that it's going to look good wherever you want to place it.This does have a brass construction, so it's going to be nice and sturdy, very reliable for you. It does have that inaudible 00:00:54 design in there, so it looks pretty fancy to me. So if you like that look, I think it's going to do a good job for you. They also include four different sized strikes to accommodate different applications. So you just use the one that works best for you.

They're also going to include the mounting screws to get all the components that you need to mount it in place. And this does come with a limited lifetime warranty. So it's nice to know they stand behind their product. You can see this is spring loaded like the original probably was to make sure that, that's easy to push in, to release, and then it will catch in place to make sure that when you push the door closed, it's going to stay closed.One thing that I will point out, the manufacturer's measurements for these strikes is going to be a little bit off in my opinion. So the best I can tell they are measuring just this vertical portion, they don't include the portion that you actually screw into your cabinet.

So they call this a five eights, this a three fourths, this a seven eights. And this a one inch. When I measure them, I'm getting closer to about seven eights of an inch. You can see I'm actually using this base portion, so mine's a little bit longer than theirs. So that's seven eights.

I'd call this one about an inch, this one about an inch and an eighth. And then this one, an inch and a quarter.So just want to give you the measurements that make the most sense to me so that you can make an informed decision on whether this is going to be the right product for you or not. And other than that measurement, I think this is going to be a great option for you, make sure that your door stays closed and it's going to add a nice look to your handle there.
